5.2.5 How to plan a complete cycle
A complete training cycle will have 3 phases in it: Strength, Power and Lifts.
Consider weightlifting to be a competition to build the tallest tower. Your strength phase is your base. You want your base to be wide and strong. Upon your strength base you want your power stage to sit. You then want to consolidate this strength and power into effective, technically proficient classical lifts. These are your spire at the top.
If you lack a solid foundation of strength the tower will not be as stable as it could be.
Each stage of the tower leads into the next stage. We shall now investigate each stage in itself.
